Foresters FC Mens Futsal 8–5 Wrecsam Dragons Futsal Club | FAW Futsal League | 29/03/2026
Wrexham Foresters brought the curtain down on a historic regular season in emphatic fashion, defeating Wrecsam Dragons 8–5 in a breathless finale that showcased everything that has made this side the force of the FAW Futsal League North Division.
The result confirms the Foresters finish the regular season unbeaten and champions of the North, and now fully focused on what lies ahead: the FAW National Playoffs.
Wrexham City Foresters Players All Smiles after the win
Edgar Takes Centre Stage
If there was ever a performance to carry into the playoff fortnight, this was it. Edgar Lima Teixeira was simply unstoppable, netting four times in the opening twenty minutes to set the tone early and emphatically. His 8th, 11th, 13th and 16th minute strikes gave the Foresters a commanding platform. A display of clinical finishing that will have every side remaining in this competition taking note.
Jakub Bryla added a fifth in the 16th minute, Matthew Williams made it six on 18, and Jardel Tavares Dias da Mota — one of the standout performers of the entire season — completed the scoring with two further goals on 20 and 23 minutes. Eight goals. Twenty-three minutes. A statement delivered.
Dragons Refused to Fold

Both teams pre-match in support of Arek Piskorski
Credit to Wrecsam Dragons, who never stopped competing. Lukasz Mazur was a persistent threat, completing his hat-trick across the 14th, 21st and 26th minutes, while Marcel Sitarz and Ernest Sosinski added late goals on 36 and 37 minutes to give the scoreline a closer look than the game’s story truly warranted.
But this was the Foresters’ day — and the Foresters’ season.
A Pathway Proven

Ethan Williams, U16 Grassroots Goalkeeper, in his first senior call up for the Foresters Men’s Futsal
Amid the goals and the glory, one moment from today’s match speaks to something deeper about this club. Ethan Williams, currently a member of the Foresters’ U16 Boys grassroots squad, made his Sr. Foresters debut for the Men’s Futsal first team, playing the majority of the second half between the sticks. Called up to the senior squad last week, Ethan becomes one of the youngest players ever (in the club’s very young history) to represent the club at first team level.
It is exactly the kind of moment this club was built for. The pathway from grassroots to first team is not a promise here — it is a reality, and today Ethan Williams lived it.
A Season to Remember

From the first whistle of the campaign to the last, Richie Jones‘ side have been relentless. Six wins from six in the regular season. Forty-seven goals scored. A squad that has grown in cohesion, confidence and quality with every fixture. A new mix of players who arrived as individuals and leave the regular season as a team.
North Division champions. Unbeaten. Unbroken.
Now the real work begins.
What’s Next
The FAW National Playoffs get underway on 19th April, with the Foresters hosting Cardiff Met Futsal in the first leg of the semi-finals at Wrexham University. The second leg follows on 3rd May in Cardiff, with the National Final fate to be announced, and will be played in Newport.
The Foresters have earned their place at this stage. Now it’s time to go and take what this season deserves.
Come on the Foresters. 🟢
