End of Year Reflection: Strong Foundations and Clear Progress for Foresters Futsal
As we reach the end of the year at Wrexham Foresters Academy Futsal, it’s an ideal moment to reflect on what has been a hugely positive and successful period for the club.
Our Men’s team, led by Head Coach Richie Jones, have set the benchmark, producing an outstanding season so far. Remaining unbeaten and heading into the new year at the top of the league, their consistency, commitment, and togetherness have been exemplary. The standards they’ve set on and off the court provide a strong example for the rest of the academy.
This year also marked an important step forward with the successful formation of our Development (Devs) team. Led by Coach Gareth Jones, the group has come together extremely well, laying strong foundations, and we have clear plans to continue developing players and creating structured pathways within the club.
Our U14/13s have experienced a very successful period of development. Their quality, character, and belief were clear in a standout victory against a team two to three years above their age group which is an achievement that reflects their hard work and progress throughout the year.
Looking ahead, we are excited about what’s to come. Plans are already in place to introduce younger age groups, allowing the academy to grow further and provide more opportunities for players to develop through futsal in Wrexham.
Finally, a huge thank you goes to all parents for their continued support, commitment, and trust. Your backing plays a vital role in creating the environment our players need to thrive.
Overall, the progress across all teams, the dedication of players and staff, and the clear direction moving forward give us a great deal to be proud of as we head into the new year.
