Foresters U14 Deliver Strong Away Performance at Llay

Llay Miners Welfare U14s 1 – 5 Wrexham Foresters U14s

Wrexham Foresters U14s produced an impressive performance on the road, securing a convincing 5–1 victory away at Llay Miners Welfare in a match that showcased the squad’s attacking quality and composure.

The visitors started brightly and quickly established control of the game. C. Arrowsmith opened the scoring in the 12th minute, finishing well after being set up by J. Hughes, giving Foresters the early momentum.

Llay managed to respond before the break, finding an equaliser in the 34th minute, sending the teams into half-time level at 1–1 despite Foresters having much of the attacking play.

Second Half Surge

The second half saw Foresters raise their intensity and take firm control of the match.

Just after the restart, L. Spilsted restored the lead in the 46th minute, setting the tone for a dominant spell. The goals then came quickly as B. Foden added a third in the 49th minute, stretching the advantage and putting the visitors firmly in command.

Foresters continued to press forward, and H. Lawton made it four in the 51st minute, capitalising on the team’s relentless attacking pressure.

The scoring was completed in the 65th minute when K. Edwards added the fifth, sealing an outstanding team performance and ensuring the points travelled back to Wrexham.

The result reflected a mature performance from the squad, with Foresters showing both attacking sharpness and defensive discipline throughout the match.
